Dr. Katie Lamb

Co-Creation Officer | UK

Katie Lamb is an experienced research scientist and chemist, with a background in green chemistry research. She has performed research in numerous areas of sustainability, including catalysis, carbon dioxide utilisation, carbon capture and storage, and systems thinking teaching amongst others. She is currently acting as a “Research Associate in Chemical Circular Economy”, for the University of Sheffield and the UKRI National Interdisciplinary Centre for the Circular Chemical Economy in the UK, developing new and innovative polices to help implement a circular economy in the UK chemical sector. She is keen to bring her chemistry and science knowledge to future iKNOW-WHO projects. She has a First Class MChem degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Green Chemistry, both from the University of York in the UK. Languages: EN.

Dr. Christoph Appert

Christoph Appert is an innovation master with 25+ years’ experience in corporate R&D. As an executive in leading various research teams, he has a wealth of experience in running innovation projects. His strength is to identify new market opportunities, developing respective strategic plans, building highly motivated teams, using leading edge technology, exploiting the huge personal network and to turn opportunities into solid profits. Madeleine Beelen

Madeleine Beelen brings her biomedical science background to the realm of disruptive innovation. She has conducted research on molecular embryology and has most recently collaborated on a project with GE Healthcare on improving digital services for the NHS. Julia Harryson

Communication Consultant | Sweden

Julia is taking out her bachelors degree in philology at Uppsala University, minoring in French and rhetorics. She has studied modules of her degree at la Sorbonne in Paris, at Sussex University in Brighton and at Lund University in Lund. She also brings valuable insights in project coordination through several years of experience as Office Coordinator at one of Sweden’s fastest growing webdesign buros. Her initiative of founding a university society at Sussex University, are early sparks of entrepreneurship and leadership skills. Rob Kirschbaum

Robert Kirschbaum graduated from the Technical University of Delft as a Chemical Engineer in 1977, and moved into a 35 year career with DSM to invent and commercialize extreme materials like Dyneema. From 1997, Rob was in charge of the DSM New Business Development Corporation – the “Incubator” of the company, which evolved into the DSM Innovation Center. Rob then continued as VP Open Innovation of DSM until he joined iKNOW-WHO as Chairman of the Board in 2018. Rob received the prestigious Giulio Natta Award and enjoys a visiting lectureship on Corporate Venturing and Entrepreneurship at the ESADE (Barcelona) and the Erasmus University/RSM (Rotterdam).
